Four days after the first earthquake Dr Pandit flew to Nepal carrying supplies worth $30,000. He met Dr Baroon Rai and Dr Madan Uprety in transit and the three began planning the relief operation before they landed.

Dr Thapa practises at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. She completed her cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center and her internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and is a graduate of the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Maharajgunj. She gave $1,000 to the Sipapokhare fund in June 2015, when the total raised stood at about $44,000.
Dr Chaudhary was involved in the Sipapokhare project from its first day, and raised funds for it among supporters in the United States as well as contributing himself.
One of the US-based Nepali doctors of Team Karma, which ran medical camps across Sindhupalchowk, Kavre, Dolakha, Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Kathmandu after the earthquakes and then joined Mission Rebuild Nepal on the Sipapokhare shelter programme. Dr Madan Uprety met him while working in remote Nepal.

Dr Karki spent weeks in the village supporting the rebuilding work and travelled from the United States to be special guest at the second handover ceremony on 16 March 2016, when 100 houses were handed over in front of about 1,500 people at Rajeshwori School.
Mr Clark worked alongside the residents of Sipapokhare rebuilding their homes in September and October 2015, and lived in the community while he was there.
