Dr Uprety was on the ground in Nepal within days of the April 2015 earthquake and was in a remote part of Sindhupalchowk on 12 May 2015 when the second earthquake struck. He led the decision to register Mission Rebuild Nepal formally in both the United States and Nepal, and has chaired the board since. The published board page also described him as medical director of the inpatient unit at Adventist Behavioral Health and assistant professor at Howard University School of Medicine, with extensive clinical experience treating patients in rural and urban settings.

An educationist and social worker, Mr Sharma is founder, President and CEO of the White House Education Foundation and Senior Vice President of the Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools' Association of Nepal (HISSAN). He joined the Bhotang relief trek in May 2015 and was on the mountain with Dr Dikshanta Prasai when the second earthquake struck. He spoke at the first house handover at Sipapokhare in September 2015, and later led the liaison with consortium partners and the Government of Nepal that brought the oxygen plants from France.

Mr Oli consults to the US federal government on business intelligence, data mining, statistical modelling and data architecture. He previously served as a team lead at Medical Transportation Management Inc and worked at the DC Public Charter School Board, where he helped roll out the Performance Management Framework in 2011 and laid out its project plan and data validation processes. He visited SSDRC in Kathmandu on 3 April 2019 on the organisation's behalf.

Dr Rai is a practising critical care doctor in San Francisco, additionally trained in internal medicine and nephrology. After the April 2015 earthquake he took unpaid leave from the ICU, raised about $20,000 and supplies from his own hospital, and flew to Nepal. He met Dr Sandesh Pandit and Dr Madan Uprety in transit and the three planned the first relief operation on the way.

Mr Joshi works in IT in the United States and has a long record of charitable work, including fundraising races for St Jude Children's Research Hospital, volunteering with the Breast Cancer Association and for cerebral palsy causes, blood donation and fundraising for the Red Cross, and support for the Chetrapati Free Clinic. He is also an actor, producer, model and singer.

Dr Kunwar heads the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Kanti Children's Hospital in Kathmandu. He took time from his hospital work to help manage and monitor the Sipapokhare reconstruction, and spoke at the first house handover ceremony on 12 September 2015.

Dr Prasai treated patients during the May 2015 relief operation and was in the mountains with Yuvraj Sharma when the second earthquake struck; both narrowly escaped. In 2017 he spent three weeks walking all nine wards of Sipapokhare, counting and photographing every house. That count established the verified figure of 800 completed homes and closed out the rebuilding project.

Four days after the first earthquake Dr Pandit flew to Nepal carrying supplies worth $30,000. He met Dr Baroon Rai and Dr Madan Uprety in transit and the three began planning the relief operation before they landed.

Dr Thapa practises at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. She completed her cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center and her internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and is a graduate of the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Maharajgunj. She gave $1,000 to the Sipapokhare fund in June 2015, when the total raised stood at about $44,000.

Dr Chaudhary was involved in the Sipapokhare project from its first day, and raised funds for it among supporters in the United States as well as contributing himself.

Dr Karki spent weeks in the village supporting the rebuilding work and travelled from the United States to be special guest at the second handover ceremony on 16 March 2016, when 100 houses were handed over in front of about 1,500 people at Rajeshwori School.

Mr Clark worked alongside the residents of Sipapokhare rebuilding their homes in September and October 2015, and lived in the community while he was there.
